For authors
Manuscript Preparation
GMR uses single-blind peer review. For editorial processing, submit a separate identifying title page and main manuscript. Both files must be Microsoft Word documents.
Title page
- Full title and short running title.
- Article type and journal section.
- Given name, middle name and family name of every author.
- Department, institution, city and country for each affiliation.
- Verified ORCID for every author.
- Corresponding author’s full postal and email details.
- CRediT roles for every author.
- Funding and sponsor-role statement.
- Competing interests, data availability, ethics and AI-use declarations.
- Acknowledgments and every other author-identifying declaration.
Anonymized manuscript
- Upload an editable .doc or .docx file, not a PDF or scanned document.
- Include the title, abstract, keywords, main text, references, tables and figures.
- No author names, initials, affiliations, ORCID iDs, correspondence details, CRediT roles, funding, conflicts, acknowledgments or other identifying declarations.
- Remove identifying document properties, comments and tracked-change author names.
- Continuous line numbering and page numbering are recommended.
- Use SI units and define abbreviations at first use.
Abstract and keywords
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses require a structured abstract of no more than 250 words using Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Select 3–6 MeSH-compatible keywords.
Declarations
Place CRediT contributions, funding and sponsor roles, competing interests, data availability, ethics, AI use, acknowledgments and all other declarations on the separate title page. Do not repeat identifying declarations in the anonymized manuscript. “Not applicable” is acceptable only when accurate.
