Complaints and Appeals Policy
Authors and other stakeholders may challenge a documented procedural error, editorial conduct or peer-reviewed decision through an independent route.
How to submit
Use the secure Appeals and complaints form or email appeals@glr.sciences.kz. Include the manuscript number or article URL, the disputed action, supporting evidence and the requested remedy.
- An appeal of a peer-reviewed decision must normally be submitted by the corresponding author within 30 calendar days.
- One appeal is considered per decision unless genuinely new evidence emerges.
- Disagreement alone is not sufficient; identify a material factual, methodological or procedural error.
Review process
- Receipt is normally acknowledged within 5 working days.
- The matter is reviewed by an editor who did not make the original decision.
- A new independent assessment may be obtained when necessary.
- The target response time is 30 calendar days; complex matters may take up to 60 days.
- The journal explains significant delay.
Complaints about the Editor-in-Chief
A complaint involving the Editor-in-Chief is routed to Authorized non-conflicted publisher representative through publisher-complaints@glr.sciences.kz, or to an independent senior academic designated by the publisher. The Editor-in-Chief does not receive the restricted case record and does not control that review.
Outcome
The outcome may uphold, modify or overturn a decision, require procedural correction, refer the matter to an integrity process or recommend publisher action. After one independent internal review, the journal’s decision is final. This does not limit rights available under applicable law or institutional procedure.
Questions or concerns
Use the appropriate secure route when a matter requires a documented response.
